Hailing from the sun-drenched shores of the Gulf Coast in Texas, Bloodlines emerges as a formidable force in the realm of modern -core music. Drawing inspiration from genre titans like For Today, Impending Doom, and Convictions, this four-piece outfit delivers a sound that is relentlessly passionate.
In 2021, Bloodlines unleashed their Facedown debut LP HEVEL, a record that immediately carved out a niche for the band within the metalcore scene. HEVEL was written to address seasons of life, with the band taking inspiration from the biblical book of Ecclesiastes. The album leans on classic metalcore with a distinctly progressive twist.
However, for Bloodlines, their music is more than just a sonic assault—it’s a vessel for a greater purpose. The band’s mission is as clear as their sound is brutal: to spread the hope and love of Jesus Christ. This mission statement is not just a footnote but a driving force behind every riff, every lyric, and every explosive breakdown that defines their music.
In 2024, Bloodlines released Holiness Cries. With this offering, the band dives deeper into their distinctive sound, exploring themes of redemption, faith, and the human struggle with unflinching honesty. Holiness Cries promises to be a testament to the band’s evolution both musically and spiritually, showcasing their growth while staying true to their core beliefs.
As Bloodlines continues to carve their path through the heavy music scene, they stand as torchbearers of faith and ferocity, unapologetically proclaiming their message through every crushing riff and soaring melody. For those seeking music that speaks to the soul as much as it moves the body, Bloodlines invites you to join them on their journey where holiness cries out amidst the chaos of the modern world.
Heal The Hurt
Heal The Hurt isn’t just a band name — it’s a declaration that music can still be used to heal. For frontman Trevor Tyson, that mission is deeply personal. After years of struggling with depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation — including hospitalization for severe burnout — he came to understand just how powerful music can be when words alone fall short.
“Joyful music can feel like salt in the wound when you’re suffering,” Trevor shares. “But when someone meets you in your pain without making light of it — that can change everything. That’s what we want Heal The Hurt to be.”
That philosophy comes to life in the band’s emotionally honest and sonically intense brand of metalcore. Their debut EP, released August 23, 2024, is a raw and unflinching collection of songs built to reflect real pain — and offer real hope. The lead track “RUIN” was featured in Revolver Magazine’s “6 Best Songs Right Now” the week of its release, cementing the band as one to watch in the heavy music scene.
Before the EP, Heal The Hurt made waves with their Top 10 single “Stained Glass” — a haunting collaboration with HolyName that explored themes of disillusionment and spiritual struggle. That track laid the foundation for what would become the band’s identity: a place where faith and honesty collide, where healing is possible even in the wreckage.
In 2025, Heal The Hurt welcomed guitarist Brandon Marlowe and drummer Kevin Schmitz to join founding members Trevor Tyson and bassist/vocalist Alec Gregory, solidifying the band’s lineup.
Heal The Hurt isn’t just a band — it’s a lifeline for anyone who’s ever felt alone in their pain.
“We write for the ones who feel too broken to keep going,” Trevor says. “If these songs can help someone feel understood, or even just breathe a little easier for a moment — then we’ve done our job.”
